Do you not eat salmon because you have heard that it is fishy tasting? If so you are missing out on an amazing fish that is full of weight loss nutrients. First off good salmon is not fishy and when prepared properly is full of flavor and healthy nutrients such as 3gms of omega 3 fats per 1 6-oz salmon filet. So you can dismiss that fishy fear and add this fish to your healthy meal plans.
Here is a recipe using yogurt and a ginger sauce.
1 cup plain greek yogurt
2 minced garlic cloves
2 tsp minced ginger
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/4 tsp pepper
2 6-oz salmon filets
In a shallow bowl mix up the yogurt, garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander and pepper. Then set aside 1/4 cup of the mixture. Add salmon to the remaining yogurt mixture and coat both sides of fish. Place fish on a grill or over high heat for 7-10 minutes only turning once about halfway through the cooking process. Use the 1/4 cup yogurt mixture as a dipping sauce for the salmon.
